A woman accused of cutting a man during a domestic disturbance was taken into custody today after barricading herself in an apartment near East Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane, police said.
Police were called about 2:40 p.m. to the scene of a domestic disturbance at an apartment complex in the 300 block of East Harmon Avenue and were attempting to make contact with a woman in an apartment, Officer Jesse Roybal said.
The man was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with injuries believed to be nonlife-threatening, Roybal said.
It appears the man was cut by the woman, Lt. W. Graham said.
SWAT officers were on scene, and some surrounding apartments were evacuated, Graham said.
The woman was arrested, and neighbors were allowed to return to their apartments, he said.
