If a recent survey is any indication, Nevadans are starting the new year feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Nevada is the sixth-most "emotionally recharged" state, with about 67 percent of residents participating in activities that make people feel good, according to the Lantern Emotional Balance Index.

Lantern, an online and mobile tool for evaluating mind health, surveyed 3,000 Americans to see how often they were "taking action to renew, refresh and recharge their emotional well-being," the company said. The survey was conducted from Dec. 26 to Jan. 9.

The states considered more emotionally recharged have residents who regularly learn something new, share a moment of closeness with a loved one, engage in a meaningful conversation with a friend and do a good deed for someone else, among other activities.

Geography apparently doesn't matter much. Utah was ranked the least emotionally recharged state, with about 40 percent of residents considered emotionally recharged.

The top five were, in order, New Hampshire, Indiana, Louisiana, Kansas and Arkansas.
