Deaths of man, woman in Las Vegas home called murder-suicide

Updated Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2015 | 3:32 p.m.

Metro Police say the shooting deaths of a man and a woman during an argument heard by 911 dispatchers at a home southwest of Las Vegas appears to have been a murder-suicide.

The Clark County coroner didn't immediately identify the two people found dead after the call about 10 p.m. Tuesday from the home in the 6000 block of Glimmering Light Avenue.

That's in a gated community about 5 miles southwest of the Las Vegas Strip.

Police Officer Larry Hadfield said Wednesday that officers made quick entry to the house after a dispatcher reported hearing a man and a woman arguing, and then gunshots.

The two were husband and wife, and police believe the man shot the woman before killing himself, police said.

Hadfield said the recording of the 911 call was evidence in the case and wasn't being immediately released.
