Man who was fatally shot at apartment complex near Charleston, U.S. 95 is identified

A 45-year-old man shot to death last week at an apartment complex near Charleston Boulevard and U.S. 95 has been identified as Las Vegas resident Gary Patrick Kaname, according to the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Kaname died at University Medical Center after he was found by police about 4:30 p.m. Dec. 23 at the complex in the 3800 block of East Charleston Boulevard, police said.

Detectives believe he may have been involved in an argument with another man before he was shot in the torso, police said.

It was the 131st homicide this year investigated by Metro Police.
