A Clark County School District custodian was arrested Monday on multiple counts including open/gross lewdness after officials say surveillance cameras caught him leaving bodily fluids on the personal items of a teacher.

Michael Timothy Skelton, 42, faces multiple counts of lewdness and poisoning/adulteration of food, water or medicine, according to jail and Las Vegas Justice Court records.

Early last week, a teacher at Dondero Elementary School, 4450 Ridgeville St., near Jones Boulevard and Harmon Avenue, noticed fluids on items in the classroom, CCSD Police Sgt. Mitch Maciszak said.

Surveillance cameras caught Skelton in the act of placing the fluids on items in the classroom another night, Maciszak said.

The items affected included a candy dish, lip balm and vitamins, he said.

Skelton, a "floater" custodian without a permanent school assignment, does not have interactions with students, and the fluids were reported only on the items of that one teacher, Maciszak said.

Skelton was arrested about 5 p.m. Monday at a CCSD administrative building, and he is currently listed as absent without authorized leave at work, according to Maciszak and a school district spokesperson.

He is being held at the Clark County Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning, according to jail records.
