Authorities say a 60-year-old Las Vegas man who threatened to blow up two federal district court judges in Nevada will spend six years, three months in federal prison.
The U.S. Attorney for Nevada said Wednesday that Clifford James Schuett pleaded guilty to threatening to kill or cause damage by explosive.
Authorities say Schuett visited a federal office in Las Vegas in June 2014 saying he placed explosives in courtrooms and under desks of the judges. No explosives were found.
Convicted earlier for threatening to blow up Nellis Air Force Base, Schuett had recently been released from prison.
Public defender Rebecca Levy had no comment on behalf of Schuett.
In a September 2014 letter to the court seeking medical care he said he didn't intend to follow through on the threats.
