A Nevada transportation official says it could take two weeks and cost up to $2 million to repair a section of Interstate 15 damaged by flooding in recent days south of the Virgin River resort town of Mesquite.

State Department of Transportation spokesman Tony Illia said Monday that one lane of the divided highway will remain open in each direction after flood damage Friday about 60 miles northeast of downtown Las Vegas.

The damage near Bunkerville isn't far from a stretch of I-15 near Moapa and Glendale that washed out after intense rainstorms and flooding Sept. 8.

Those areas are being repaired. They weren't damaged last weekend.

No injuries were reported, but officials say 13 homes in the Moapa Valley community of Warm Springs were damaged by flooding.
