One dead, one critical after North Las Vegas accident

One person was pronounced dead and one was critically injured after a two-car collision Saturday evening, according to North Las Vegas Police.

North Las Vegas Police received a call around 7:30 p.m. reporting a crash between a sedan and a SUV at Alexander Road and Commerce Street.

The 62-year-old female driver of the sedan was unconscious at the scene. She was transported to University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

The 28-year-old male driver of the SUV was transported to UMC in critical condition.

The woman's identity has not yet been released, and the cause of death is being investigated.
