A person was injured in a shooting near the intersection of East Owens Avenue and North Nellis Boulevard, according to Metro Police.
Metro spokesman Officer Jesse Roybal said police are on the scene of the incident in the 4900 block of Owens Avenue, in the northeast valley. The victim was transported to University Medical Center.
The shooting was reported about 3 p.m., Roybal said. Police were looking for at least one suspect, he said.
