A Las Vegas man was arrested Friday night on accusations that he attacked 10 people with a hammer during an hourlong spree in Boulder City and Henderson.

Damien D. Robins faces six counts of attempted murder and one count of assault with a deadly weapon, Henderson Police spokesman Keith Paul said in a statement Saturday.

None of the victims is connected to Robins, and none of their injuries appeared to be life-threatening, Paul said.

About 8 p.m. Friday, Robins used a one-hand sledgehammer to attack a woman in a car in a convenience store parking lot, police said. He is accused of then attacking two people in the parking lot of an auto parts store.

Police said Robins then ran a driver off U.S. 93 in Boulder City and struck the man several times with the hammer before driving away, running another driver off the road and attacking that person, as well.

Then, police said, Robins drove to Henderson and cut off and attacked drivers at Greenway Road and Horizon Drive and at Greenway Road and Heather Drive. Robins then hit a man with the hammer at Foothill High School and fled as officers arrived, police said.

Next, Robins blocked a vehicle in the drive-thru lane at a Taco Bell and attacked the vehicle and its driver, police said.

Robins then drove into a nearby neighborhood, cut off a vehicle and struck the car with the hammer, police said. The driver of that vehicle was not injured.

Robins surrendered to Henderson Police when confronted by a K-9 officer about 9 p.m. Friday. He is being held in the Henderson Detention Center.

Boulder City and Henderson detectives are investigating the incidents. Robins' family said he disappeared from his home a few days ago and hadn't returned, Paul said.

Anyone with information about the incidents is urged to call Henderson Police at 702-267-4750. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or go to crimestoppersofnv.com.
