Police seek two men in killing of man standing outside home

Metro Police are searching for two men suspected of shooting and killing a man while he had been standing outside a home waiting for a family member.

The victim was shot about 10:40 p.m. Friday outside a residence in the 3100 block of Chadford Place, near Pennwood Avenue and Valley View Boulevard. Preliminary investigation indicated that two men were seen running from the scene after the shooting, police said.

Officers arrived to find the victim lying between two vehicles suffering from a gunshot wound, police said. The man was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition. He later died.

According to police, the first suspect was armed with a handgun and described as a Hispanic man in his mid-to-late teens with a thin build. He wore blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt, police said.

The second suspect is described as a short Hispanic male with a stocky build, also in his mid-to-late teens, police said. He wore a white polo shirt.
