Metro seeks suspect in robbery of downtown convenience store

Metro Police are asking for help identifying a suspect in the robbery of a downtown convenience store last month.

Sgt. Steve Candelas said a man walked into the store in the 1300 block of North Eastern Avenue on April 26 and pretended to be carrying a gun. He stole an undisclosed amount of money from an employee, Candelas said.

Candelas said the man held his hand close to his waistband as he demanded the cash.

The man was wearing a black, long-sleeved shirt and jeans. He is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, about 165 pounds and about 5 feet, 10 inches tall.
