A car caught fire today on U.S. 95 South near Auto Show Drive, prompting authorities to close the highway for 20 minutes.
The Nevada Highway Patrol and Henderson Fire Department responded about 10:15 a.m. to reports of a car fire on the right shoulder. No one was injured, Trooper Loy Hixson said.
Southbound traffic was diverted off the highway and onto Lake Mead Drive until a left lane reopened about 10:35 a.m., Hixson said.
