UNLV running back Tim Cornett runs for a long gain against Air Force in the first quarter of an NCAA football game at Air Force Academy, Colo., on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013.

Tim Cornett landed that job interview football players dream of.

Cornett, the UNLV football program’s all-time leading rusher, has been invited to the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine Feb. 19-25 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, the university announced today.

Cornett led UNLV in rushing the past four years, gaining 3,733 yards with 16 career 100-yard rushing games, ranking him second all-time in the Mountain West. He’s the first player in UNLV history to lead the team in rushing four straight seasons, scoring 38 total touchdowns.

Last season, Cornett rushed for a career-best 1,284 yards and 15 touchdowns to help UNLV finish with a 7-6 record and snap a 13-season bowl appearance drought.

Former UNLV linebacker John Lotulelei participated last year’s combine, which invites 330 players each year. Lotulelei is under contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
