A pedestrian is in critical condition after being hit by a pickup truck Friday night.
Metro Police said the accident happened at 11:43 p.m. on Tropicana Avenue just east of Topaz Street. A 2015 Toyota Tacoma was driving west on Tropicana while the pedestrian, Las Vegas resident Sergio Weatherly, was crossing the street outside a crosswalk.
When Weatherly, 46, crossed into the westbound lanes, he was struck by the pickup. He was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, Metro said.
The two people in the truck were uninjured.
The crash is still under investigation.
