Teens indicted in beating of Canyon Springs High School students

Three 18-year-olds have been indicted on charges related to the August beating of three Canyon Springs High School students.

Katario Miller, Nicholas Johnson and Maurice Harvey face charges of robbery and battery with a deadly weapon, challenges to fight, conspiracy and possession of a dangerous weapon on school property.

The defendants pistol-whipped the victims at the North Las Vegas school on Aug. 23, the indictment alleges.

A Clark County grand jury indicted Miller and Johnson last week, and a superseding indictment today added Harvey to the case.

The suspects were being held at the Clark County Detention Center, according jail records.

An arraignment was slated for Oct. 2 in front of Clark County District Judge Carolyn Ellsworth.
