Man suffers apparent medical episode, crashes into wall

A man died after apparently suffering a medical episode and driving into a wall on north Lamb Boulevard, Metro Police said.

Police responded to the crash about 7:05 a.m. on Lamb Boulevard, between Lake Mead Boulevard and Tonopah Lane.

Police believe the man suffered a medical episode while he was driving, causing him to crash, Metro spokeswoman Laura Meltzer said. He was transported to University Medical Center, where he later died, she said.

Northbound Lamb Boulevard was reduced to one lane near the crash and was expected to be shut down while police investigate, Meltzer said. Southbound Lamb Boulevard will remain open.
