Metro Police have caught up to four burglary suspects on the western fringe of the valley, ending an afternoon pursuit aided by a police helicopter and search dogs.
Officers were summoned to the 11000 block of Amistoso Lane near Charleston Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. after a tipster reported seeing a suspicious vehicle in the area, Metro Police Officer Jose Hernandez said. A short while later, the person reported seeing four men knocking on a door in what was described as an apparent burglary attempt.
Two men were detained when police arrived while another two took off running. A short chase ensued before they, too, were detained.
Detectives are still at the location sorting through the incident, Hernandez said. So far, none of the men have been charged with a crime.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
