A man is suspected of robbing or attempting to rob three banks in the past three months while wearing different hats, including a fedora and a straw cowboy hat.

Henderson Police are searching for a man described as 25 to 30 years old, white, 5 feet 7 to 5 feet 11 inches tall and between 160 and 180 pounds.

Most recently, the man is suspected of attempting to rob a bank on Friday at 213 S. Stephanie St., the location of a Wells Fargo branch, Henderson Police spokesman Keith Paul said.

The suspect approached the teller wearing a straw cowboy hat and handed her a note demanding money and indicating he had a gun.

The teller did not comply and the man fled, Paul said.
