Police after man who groped, tried to kidnap girl, 15

Incident

Metro Police are seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect in an attempted kidnapping of a 15-year-old girl.

Police described the suspect as a 30-year-old Hispanic man, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 210 pounds. He has dark brown eyes and a black mohawk. He is wanted for attempted kidnapping and open and gross lewdness.

The man is suspected of grabbing a teenager walking in the area of Willoughby Avenue and 28th Street on April 29, and dragging her toward an older dark blue Hyundai Elantra station wagon. Once there, he groped the victim, police said.

The victim fought back and escaped from the suspect, police said. A witness then saw the man leave in the dark blue car.

Police urge anyone with information regarding the suspect or incident to contact Metro Police Sexual Assault Section at 828-3421, or to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 385-5555 or crimestoppersofnv.com.
