A man was shot Wednesday afternoon outside a business on Boulder Highway near Tropicana Avenue, Metro Police officials said.
Police received multiple calls about 1:30 p.m. from people reporting gunshots and a person with bullet wounds on the ground behind a business in the 5600 block of Boulder Highway.
When officers arrived, the suspect had already fled, police said. Police believe he ran into a residential area behind the businesses.
The victim was transported to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in unknown condition.

I find it strange that every Las Vegas news outlet is running this shooting story but is completely ignoring the shooting that locked down Oran Gragson elementary school this afternoon. About 20 cop cars, multi people in handcuffs, and an elementary school on lockdown and it is ignored. Very strange.

Yeah big difference in neighborhoods but it happened around 3:00pm and within a few hundred feet of a school. The school was locked down for almost 2 hours. It is just crazy that there is no news at all about this.
Well, if guns were banned, I'm POSITIVE that all the gang members, criminals, and drug dealers would stop doing this!

Look for the culprit at a local library or bookstore. That is where I would hide if I were the likely gunman. NOBODY would look for a criminal there!
This is why we have a DEATH PENALTY. No concern for bystanders. The idea that whatever annoys you means you can kill someone... While American longevity is modest to start with it's been decreasing. However, for men, if you make it to 50 or so, your life expectancy INCREASES. Take a look around. If a guy is gonna do something to get himself shot (even military), he usually gets it done by age 35 or 40. Or is it that those who survive are locked up?
They used to have pickpockets at the hanging of a pick pocket in London. On the other hand the Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin provided safety and security and a living wage, therefore if your are concern about crime you should work to establish COMMUNISM.
