NHP treating body found along Blue Diamond as a hit-and-run

The body of a male was found Friday morning on the side of Blue Diamond Road, the result of what authorities believe might have been a hit-and-run.

The Nevada Highway Patrol is investigating the incident as a hit-and-run, Trooper Loy Hixson said. Blue Diamond Road was reopened at about 3 p.m. after being closed in both directions near Cimarron Road since about 11 a.m.

The Nevada Highway Patrol is working to identify the car involved in the incident, which they believe to be a passenger vehicle that will have damage on the right side. Hixson urges anyone with information regarding the incident to contact the Nevada Highway Patrol at 486-4100.
