Two people were displaced from their home Saturday after a fire destroyed a portion of the house.
Clark County Fire responded to a report of the house fire about 9:05 a.m. at 5823 Duval Drive, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Christy Lane. Firefighters arrived to find smoke rising up from the attic, Clark County Fire officials said.
The one adult and one child who occupied the house were not home at the time of the fire, officials said. The fire caused about $80,000 in damage to the home.
No one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
