The victim of a fatal shooting after an altercation at a party Saturday has been identified as a 14-year-old boy, the Clark County Coroner’s Office said.
The teen, Haji Mohamud, died of a gunshot wound to the head, officials said.
Mohamud was shot about 1:30 a.m. during a party in the 1400 block of East Reno Avenue, Metro Police said.
Another man also suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was transferred to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, police said.

Another shooting of a under age youth out after midnight. Where are the parents?

Insane to be a parent in this town. You send your kid to a party and guns show up? This ain't Kansas Dorothy.
Was this a sleepover? Ya know, sleeping bags, popcorn and DVD's...and guns. I wouldn't want to raise a kid in this town for all the money any job could pay.
A very tragic event, the hateful mocking comments belong at the other newspaper in town.
Prayers out to the family of this child.

Its all about who and what your child is subjected to. I am raising my son here, I grew up here, and so did my parents. Everyone turned out just fine. This goes on in every town, in every state. Should limit the 2000+ comments you have on here and maybe go out and experience this town a little more than pointing a finger at it.

If you think you can control who your child is subjected to on a daily basis, you are already beyond naive. What goes on here in some areas of town is NOT going on in small town America. You havent lived anywhere else.. I have. Maybe there are some similarities to other big cities..but the middle class left the big cities for the suburbs long ago. They saw the change.
Vegas is a fun place, but it's not a place to raise a family. Adults only in every sense of the word.
So sorry for his family. Condolences. Damn.
Stop wondering. A 14-year-old was shot. Think the shooter was much older?
