Large sections of pavement on Gass Avenue will be repaved Wednesday to fix issues of deterioration from increased bus traffic in downtown Las Vegas.
The first patch will be in the east travel lane on Gass Avenue, west of the intersection with Las Vegas Boulevard, a Las Vegas government press release says. Both east and westbound travel lanes will be shifted during the construction.
The second patch will be at the intersection of Gass Avenue and Third Street. The intersection will be repaved in half sections so that the travel lanes will not be affected, the release said.
Motorists in downtown Las Vegas are urged to avoid these areas from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
