Reno police now say an ongoing investigation shows a victim had been involved in an altercation with security at the BuBinga Lounge at the Eldorado Hotel-Casino before he died.
Investigators on Monday said several witnesses and others related to the case are being interviewed.
Authorities say 23-year-old Victor Victoria-Acevedo was pronounced dead at a hospital after police were called to the Eldorado casino early Dec. 15.
Police were summoned to the casino about 2 a.m. on a trespassing call and found the man in medical distress.
He was taken to a nearby hospital for his injuries and later died.
