Accident
A bicyclist was struck by a vehicle this evening after he veered outside a bike lane, police said.
Metro Police Lt. Barb Schmidt said the bicyclist was hit by a vehicle about 4:30 p.m. at Arville Street and Blue Diamond Road. The bicyclist, who was determined to be at fault, was rushed to University Medical Center with internal injuries to his head and chest.
It was not clear late Wednesday whether the injuries were life threatening.
