A man is suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol after a collision with another car today that left the driver with a serious injury.
Metro Police responded to the collision about 2 p.m. at Bonanza Road near Interstate 15. Thaddeus James, 44, was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck west on Bonanza when he attempted to turn left onto City Parkway, police said.
The truck then struck the left front-end of a Nissan sedan traveling east on Bonanza, police said. Both drivers and a passenger in the truck were transported to University Medical Center.
The driver of the sedan suffered a serious injury, police said. James and the passenger in the truck received minor injuries.
Metro arrested James, 44, of North Las Vegas, for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
