Updated Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 | 4:44 p.m.

A severe thunderstorm forming in south Clark County could move into the Las Vegas Valley later tonight.

Thunderstorm warnings were issued Friday afternoon for various areas of Clark County, including one that remains in effect through 5 p.m. for west-central Clark County, near Good Springs. A flash flood warning is in effect until 5:15 p.m. in south-central Clark County.

National Weather Service-Las Vegas meteorologist Barry Pierce said a storm system dumped about three-quarters of an inch of rain near Primm earlier in the day.

There is a 25 percent chance thunderstorms will move into southwest Las Vegas, he said.
