The Mountain Ridge Little League team was eliminated today from the Western Regional, falling 12-0 against East Lake of Chula Vista, Calif., in the semifinals.
Mountain Ridge finished 3-2 at the event in San Bernardino, Calif. Its other defeat was also against East Lake, the representative from powerhouse Southern California.
East Lake scored twice in the top of the first inning and limited Mountain Ridge to two hits.
The winner advances to the Little League World Series in Williamsport, Pa. Nevada has never qualified a team for the event.
