A fatal motorcycle crash closed part of Desert Inn Road this morning as Metro Police investigated.
According to police, a 30-year-old Las Vegas man riding a 2012 Suzuki motorcycle was westbound on Desert Inn about 4 a.m. near the intersection with Monte Cristo Way when he changed lanes and hit the rear of a sedan.
The motorcyclist, whose name was not immediately released, was transported to University Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Nobody else was hurt, police said.
The crash resulted in the 58th traffic-related fatality in Metro's jurisdiction this year.
