Juan Lagares walked to open the bottom of the 11th inning Sunday for the Las Vegas 51s, scoring on an RBI single by Reese Havens for a 5-4 victory against visiting Colorado Springs at Cashman Field.

Armando Rodriguez struck out two in the 11th inning for Las Vegas to earn the win, helping it snap a two-game losing streak.

The 51s took an early lead in the second inning on a three-run home run from Jamie Hoffmann. Lagares had a solo home run in the seventh.

Pitching ace Zack Wheeler didn’t disappoint in his home debut for Las Vegas, striking out eight in 5 1/3 innings pitched.

The 51s will play for a series split against Colorado Springs at 7:05 p.m. Monday.
