Construction of a bridge expansion project will prompt temporary overnight closures of the ramps between the airport connector and the Las Vegas Beltway tonight and Wednesday, Clark County officials said.
The closures both days will be from 7 p.m. until 5 a.m. the following day.
During the closure, the westbound beltway ramp to the airport will not be affected and will serve as a detour.
Eastbound traffic headed for the airport will be detoured to the Warm Springs exit and back onto the beltway to use the westbound ramp to the airport tunnel, officials said.
Traffic exiting the airport tunnel to westbound I-215 will not be affected. Traffic headed east will be detoured to exit at Hidden Well Road and turn south on Gilespie Street to Warm Springs, where it can get onto the beltway, officials said.
The airport connector bridge is the first of five bridges that will be expanded as part Clark County Public Works’ federally funded I-215 Airport Connector Phase 1.
The project started in January and is expected to be complete in January 2014. Bridges over Paradise Road, Warm Springs Road, Robindale Road and Duck Creek also will be expanded as part of the project.
