KSNV reports on a Metro Police shooting that left one man dead at a central Las Vegas Valley Ross store on Monday, Oct. 29, 2012.
Officer-involved shooting
Metro Police released the identity of the three officers involved in a shooting that left a suspect dead outside a retail store on Monday.
Officers Michael Henry, Samantha Wimmer and Michele Iacullo were all placed on routine paid administrative leave while police investigate the incident. The officers were responding to a report of a shooting outside Ross Dress For Less at 2420 E. Desert Inn Road.
The officers discovered Ronald James Morrison, 52, in the back alley. Police shot and killed Morrison after he pulled a gun from his waistband, police said.
Henry, 41, has been employed with Metro since 2003.
Wimmer, 24, has worked at Metro since 2006 and has been a police officer since 2009.
Iacullo, 31, has worked at Metro since 2003.

maybe if we stop paying for administrative leave, police would think twice about shooting.
tom: That is the most intelligent solution I've ever seen expressed here. Seriously, it's a good idea.
Seriously, your both idiots. It's not like the officers just picked a guy off the street and started a gun fight. They responded to an armed subject who had already shot one man. Pay them extra for doing a job you can't do and would probably pee your little boy britches if you had too.
I'll buy their lunch.
