The identities of women who died in separate traffic accidents Monday have been released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
Zerrin Scrutchens, Las Vegas, died Monday night after she was thrown from her vehicle in North Las Vegas. Scrutchens, 38, was traveling on Aliante Parkway near Grand Teton Drive when she drove off the road, North Las Vegas Police said. Her 2002 Infiniti sport utility vehicle traveled off-road about 340 feet before it rolled and ejected Scrutchens, police said.
The coroner did not list the cause of Scrutchens’ death.
Marriel Mahuiztl, 16, was killed Monday when the car she was riding in crashed into a wall just before 9 a.m. Monday at McLeod Drive south of Palora Avenue in the eastern valley.
The coroner determined Mahuiztl died from blunt force trauma from the crash.
The driver, Gustavo Mahuiztl, 19, suffered minor injuries in the crash, Metro Police said.
