A Walgreen’s store caught fire Wednesday morning near Sahara and Fort Apache avenues, forcing customers and workers to evacuate, officials said.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue spokesman Tim Szymanski said there were multiple reports about 8:20 a.m. of smoke coming from a stock room at the store, 9300 W. Sahara Ave. Employees and customers evacuated and waited for firefighters to arrive.
Firefighters extinguished the fire within minutes, Szymanski said. No one was injured, and there was no damage to the public area of the store. Still, the first was estimated to have caused $150,000 in damage.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue is investigating the cause of the fire.
