A man was shot and killed Saturday night after an argument at a Spring Valley apartment complex, Metro Police announced Monday.
The Clark County Coroner's Office officials said Thomas Rudolph Mallard, 43, died from a bullet wound to his stomach.
Police received reports of a shooting around 10:30 p.m. at Foothill Village Apartments in the 6200 block of West Tropicana Avenue, near Jones Boulevard. Police said they discovered Mallard outside, suffering from a gunshot wound, and the suspected shooter.
Preliminary investigation indicated the victim was shot after an argument with the suspect. Mallard was transported to University Medical Center Trauma, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the suspected shooter was detained for questioning, and his case will be submitted to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office to determine if he will face charges.
