A double shooting Tuesday night in North Las Vegas left one person dead and another in critical condition.
Reports of shots fired were called in around 8:30 p.m. from the 3100 block of Plumwood Lane near Cheyenne Avenue and Pecos Road, officer Chrissie Coon of the North Las Vegas Police Department said.
One victim was pronounced dead on the scene, and the other was transported to University Medical Center with undisclosed injuries, Coon said.
Coon described the crime scene as “active” as of midnight Wednesday, and police believed the suspect to be hiding in a nearby apartment complex.
