A 50-year-old man on a motorized scooter was hit by a vehicle Wednesday near the intersection of Charleston Boulevard and Torrey Pines Drive.
The man was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition after a he was hit while crossing Community College Drive and Charleston Boulevard against a red light, Metro Police said.
According to police, the man crossing near the Charleston campus of the College of Southern Nevada was hit in the center lane and is at fault.
No further details were immediately available.

They're everywhere. In my neighborhood they run down the streets like they're driving cars, and some act like they're oblivious to everything around them, including red lights. Accidents like this are inevitable. Tragic, but inevitable.
