In Las Vegas, the majority of high school graduations are at the Orleans Arena. This year, more than 13,000 seniors from 33 high schools graduated in ceremonies at the Orleans Arena. Overall, the Clark County School District produced more than 16,000 graduates in the Class of 2012. They include: • 175 valedictorians • 67 salutatorians • 4,252 Advanced and Honors Diplomas • 321 Advanced Placement recognitions • 31 National Merit Scholars and 26 National Merit Finalists • 17 Service Academy Appointments • Six Gates Millennium Scholarship Recipients The Class of 2012 has been awarded more than $240.9 million in college scholarships.

In Las Vegas, the majority of high school graduation ceremonies are at the Orleans Arena.

This year, more than 13,000 seniors from 33 high schools graduated in ceremonies at the arena, located on West Tropicana Avenue. The ceremonies ran like clockwork, with graduating seniors and their families flowing in and out of the arena over a two-week period in June.

Under new Superintendent Dwight Jones, the Clark County School District increased its graduation rate by 6 percentage points, from 59 percent in 2011 to 65 percent this year. Overall, the School District produced nearly 16,000 graduates in the Class of 2012.

These graduates include:

175 valedictorians

67 salutatorians

4,252 Advanced and Honors Diplomas

321 Advanced Placement recognitions

31 National Merit Scholars and 26 National Merit Finalists

17 Service Academy appointments

Six Gates Millennium Scholarship recipients

The Class of 2012 has been awarded more than $240.9 million in college scholarships.
