Fatal stabbing
Metro Police are investigating the death of a man who was found stabbed Thursday night near the Las Vegas Strip.
Officers responded at 8:25 p.m. Thursday to the 300 block of Baltimore Avenue, near the Stratosphere Casino, and discovered an adult male lying on the ground bleeding from a sharp force trauma wound, police said.
The victim was transported to University Medical Center Trauma where he was pronounced dead a short time later, police said.
The suspect in the stabbing is described as a male wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt, dark basketball shorts with a white stripe down the sides, black socks and black shoes, police said.
The identity of the victim and his exact cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
