A North Las Vegas woman was stabbed to death Saturday in her home near Washburn Road and Lawrence Street, North Las Vegas Police officials said.

Officials said North Las Vegas Police received a call about the stabbing around 11:10 a.m. at a home in the 5100 block of Blue Rose Street.

Officials said the woman, 44, suffered multiple stab wounds. Six people, including three juveniles, were home at the time of the stabbing, but no one else was injured, officials said.

Officials said North Las Vegas Police officers are searching for the woman's husband, Alberto Gutierrez, for questioning.

Gutierrez, 47, fled on foot. He is 6 feet 1 inch tall and 225 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He last was seen wearing a blue T-shirt, black shorts and sandals, officials said.

The woman was taken to University Medical Center Trauma, where she was pronounced dead, officials said.
