Bank Robbery

Call him the plaid-clad bank robber.

Henderson Police said a man dressed in a mismatched plaid shirt and ball cap robbed an America First Credit Union branch Friday, making off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Shortly after 5 p.m. Friday the suspect — described as a Caucasian man in his late 20s or early 30s — entered the bank at 370 N. Stephanie St. and handed a teller a note demanding money, according to police.

The teller gave the suspect cash from her drawer, police said. The man fled the bank, ran through a parking lot and scaled a wall into the nearby Adobe Ranch Apartments, police said.

No one was injured during the robbery, police said. The suspect never showed a weapon.

Surveillance photos show the suspect in what appears to be a black and white plaid ball cap and green, yellow and white plaid shirt with blue jeans, black tennis shoes and black sunglasses.

Authorities ask anyone with information to call Henderson Police at 702-267-4750 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
