Police search for masked robbers in Galleria jewelry store heist

Map

An armed robbery Sunday evening at a jewelry store in the Galleria at Sunset forced the mall's evacuation and sent Henderson police in search of three masked suspects.

Police said the suspects, who remained at large Monday morning, committed the robbery at 5:45 p.m. at a Ben Bridge Jeweler store, 15 minutes before the mall closed.

The suspects entered the store, and one armed with a gun ordered employees to stand against a wall, police spokesman Keith Paul said.

The other two suspects brandished hammers, smashed glass cases containing jewelry and swiped merchandise before all three fled the mall, Paul said. Police have not located the suspects, Paul said.

No one was injured and no shots were fired during the robbery, Paul said.

Police said the suspects were wearing masks and gloves, so their gender was unclear.

The incident was the first “smash and grab” robbery in Henderson in recent years, Paul said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Henderson Police at (702) 267-4750 or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
