A fire early Monday in the northeast valley caused about $8,000 damage to a mobile home, but nobody was home when the blaze broke out, the Clark County Fire Department reported.
Dispatchers received a call at 1:55 a.m. reporting smoke in the 2000 block of College Circle, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Mt. Hood Street, officials said.
Firefighters arrived to find a single-wide mobile home on fire. Firefighters put out the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby vehicles and structures, officials said.
Nine units from the Clark County Fire Department, Las Vegas Fire and Rescue and the North Las Vegas Fire Department responded to the call.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
