Driver dies in crash
A man died this morning after crashing his Ford Mustang into the back of a parked semitruck on Gowan Road near Rainbow Boulevard, Metro Police said.
Officials said witnesses saw the car speeding west on Gowan Road when the driver swerved to the right side of the lane and crashed into the truck about 6:40 a.m. The front end of the Mustang was crushed under the truck, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
