Area of shooting
A man is dead after being shot Friday morning during an altercation at a party in the central valley, Metro Police said.
Police received a call of shots fired shortly after 2 a.m. Friday at an apartment complex in the 600 block of East Twain Avenue, between Paradise Road and Swenson Street.
According to police, a fight broke out between two people at a party in one of the apartment units.
As the fight spilled into the parking lot, a crowd gathered to watch, at which point someone fired a gun into the air, police said.
The shot struck a man standing on the second story landing in front of his apartment unit, police said. After being shot, the man returned inside his apartment where he died, police said.
The Clark County Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity and the cause and manner of his death.
Police have not made any arrests in the homicide.
Anyone with information about the crime is urged to contact Metro’s Homicide Section at 828-3521, or, to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 385-555.

*sigh*
Hey...LVS what's the update on that bad FBI shooting at AZ Charlie's? Don't let some press release throw you off the scent. This was a bad shoot regardless the bad guy. 1 person (FBI) shoots a guy when there are 15 cops looking at the exact same scenario/
15 cops = don't shoot
1 nervous FBI agent = shoots
Check it out.
Hilarious! Instead of helping, these people stand by and watch like spectators. If the guy would of stayed in side and called the cops he'd be alive right now.
That's where I grew up. Nice to see things haven't changed a bit. If only we could subsidize pride in community and accountability maybe things would change.
Double Down, maybe the FBI guy is new to town. the 15 others already knew they are better off getting shot than to shoot and be crucified by the public. metro has had some bad shoots, but it kills me how people always expect a karate chop or a hug to save the day.
