Detectives have identified a suspect in Thursday's quadruple shooting, according to North Las Vegas Police.

Police are seeking the public's help in locating Jose Alejandro Gonzales, a 22-year-old man previously only identified as "Smokey."

Gonzales is a Mission Viejo, Calif., native who has been living in Las Vegas for several years, police said. He is wanted in connection with a shooting Thursday that killed two people and seriously injured two others at a residence on the 2000 block of Webster Street, police said.

Police described Gonzales as a Hispanic man who stands about 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighs approximately 160 pounds, is bald or has a shaved head and has brown eyes. Gonzales has a tattoo on his chest that reads "Forgive me mother for my crazy life," and another on the back of his neck that says "OC," police said.

Besides the moniker "Smokey," Gonzales has also used the alias Jose Diaz, police said. Gonzales may still be driving a gray Dodge Intrepid used in connection with the deaths, police said.

Gonzales also is believed to live near the UNLV campus and frequents North Las Vegas, police said in a news conference Friday.

Gonzales is a convicted felon with a prior record of evading a police officer and assault with a deadly weapon, police said. He should be considered armed and dangerous.

On Friday, 31-year-old Ivonne Cabrera was arrested in connection with the Thursday morning shootings. Two men were killed and two women are in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso and head, police said.

Cabrera – who was booked at the North Las Vegas Detention Center – faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder, two counts of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon, two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon and burglary with a deadly weapon, police said.

The Clark County coroner's office will release the identities of the two men killed in the shooting, police said.

Anyone with information can call the North Las Vegas Police Department at 702-633-9111 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555, to remain anonymous.
