Regarding your editorial, "Preventing Justice":I am really glad Sen. Dean Heller has held up the nomination of Judge Elissa Cadish to the federal bench.
Why should she get a second look from Sen. Heller just because she would now give a different answer to the Second Amendment question, which she was asked before? When she gave her answer in 2008 to the question, over 225 million firearms were in the hands of private citizens in the United States of America.
But still, she said she didn’t believe the “individual citizen has a right to keep and bear arms.”
The right to keep and bear arms is deeply rooted in this nation’s history and tradition. It is a right that the colonists fought for, and the right that allowed them to fight.
Heller should force President Barack Obama to nominate another pick for a federal judgeship from Nevada — one who fully supports the Second Amendment.
