A Nevada judge has thrown out a criminal indictment alleging that "Girls Gone Wild" founder Joe Francis didn't pay a $2.5 million gambling debt to a Las Vegas Strip casino.
Clark County District Court Judge Linda Marie Bell ruled Wednesday that because the Wynn Las Vegas resort waited 16 months to redeem a casino IOU from Francis, prosecutors and the casino lost their chance to prove Francis intended not to pay.
The 38-year-old Los Angeles resident told The Associated Press that he wants to go after Wynn Las Vegas and its billionaire chief executive, Steve Wynn, for false prosecution.
Wynn Resorts Ltd. spokeswoman Deanna Pettit didn't immediately respond to a message.
Francis built a soft-porn empire featuring young women flashing their breasts for video cameras.
